Xerox has just launched their Managed Print Services (MPS) Essentials Suite that will provide additional recurring revenue opportunities for the partner and increased productivity for their partner’s customers, many of which are small businesses, non-profits and religious organizations. The tools in the MPS Essentials Suite have been chosen to meet the needs of increased security, mobile printing and improved productivity. The Firmware Connect App, developed by JustTech is part of the Xerox MPS Essentials Suite for its ability to update software automatically on Xerox multifunction printers thereby decreasing service calls, increasing up-time and increasing network security (with new security patches).
The Firmware Connect App provides automatic firmware and software updates once they are approved by Just·Tech for Xerox ConnectKey, AltaLink, 75XX, 77XX and 57XX models. Once installed, the Firmware Connect App automatically brings the Xerox MFP to the most recently approved version of firmware sequentially with no intervention from the partner or customer. Updates are scheduled at night or during non-business hours to avoid disruption.
