With many email providers dropping support for basic authentication, the traditional scan to email method of scanning on a multifunction printer will stop working. Google Workspace dropped support in May and Microsoft plans to drop support in October. In response to the changes, Xerox developed the Scan to Cloud Email App which is a free app that provides a simple and secure alternative to multifunction printer (MFP) Scan to Email capabilities.

While the backend works different, the Scan to Cloud Email App provides end users the same workflow and scan experience as traditional scan to email. Client feedback has been very positive with the new app and the learning curve has been very small.

 

Easily install this app in minutes to scan hardcopy documents and send to one or multiple email addresses. A simple easy to use app that is made for your Xerox ConnectKey enabled device at home, or in the office. The Xerox Scan to Cloud Email App can be downloaded from the Xerox App Gallery.
