On Sunday, December 15th, JustTech once again sponsored the Run Santa Run event in Morgantown, West Virginia benefiting the Rosenbaum Family House. Despite the weather, many came out. This was a great, fun event for a good cause!

Thousands of patients travel to Morgantown each year to obtain the specialized and extended medical care offered at WVU Medicine’s Morgantown Campus. In fact, in 2023, the Family House provided lodging for 2,186 families from the United States and beyond.  Since opening in 1999, the Rosenbaum Family House has provided lodging for 31,175 families.

Rosenbaum Family House provides a place for adult patients and their families or caregivers to stay while receiving medical care at WVU Medicine. Their founding donor Hilda Rosenbaum’s vision for the house was to create a “home away from home” for families facing a medical crisis.

Family House offers programs designed to support WVU Medicine outpatients and patient families. For many families facing a medical crisis, this is as important as having an affordable place to stay. Programs include fully-equipped kitchen spaces, laundry facilities, step-in showers, wi-fi, computers, parking, on-campus transportation, meals, and other services. When available, staff and volunteers provide dinner for guests.  On average, they serve approximately 10,000 meals per year to their guests.
