Effective March 1, 2024, Mychael Murphy was promoted to Logistics Manager for JustTech. Mychael has been instrumental in bringing the Fredericksburg Distribution Center (FDC) online and continues to provide leadership as the process surrounding our internal delivery systems grow and improve. He has been instrumental in building the logistics team and we expect continued growth in the future.
Mychael started with JustTech in November of 2020 as a Network/Technical Analyst. In October of 2021 he became the Logistics Supervisor for the new internal delivery system that would eventually become Fredericksburg Distribution Center.
JustTech opened the Fredericksburg Distribution Center in 2022. From this centralized location, we deliver Xerox copiers, multifunction devices and printers to clients in all of JustTech’s regions which include 6 states and Washington, DC. First planned in 2019, launching the Distribution Center was delayed because of the Covid-19 Global Pandemic. The North Eastern Virginia and Virginia Northern Neck Regions’ sales team also use this location for their office space.
JustTech has fully embraced the Circular Economy and has been promoting our remanufactured equipment even more than in years past. When selling new Xerox copiers & multifunction printers to clients, models that are 3-5 years old are often returned to JustTech as trade-in. Instead of dumping these units in a landfill, JustTech remanufactures them to the highest standards and resells them to clients. This equipment still has 5-7 years of useable life left in them. There is also a big financial benefit to clients as our remanufactured equipment represents a savings compared to new equipment. The Distribution Center provides a centralized location to perform the remanufacture process, which includes cleaning and wiping down the outer shell of the main frame to remove any marks/blemishes, updating supplies and consumables, replacing any faulty parts and components and updating the device to the latest version of software.
A ribbon cutting at the new location was held in coordination with the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce in June 2023. The event was well attended with members of the community out to show their support!
