We’re starting 2021 off by talking to Stephanie Nyman. Stephanie is our Operations Specialist out of our Winchester, Virginia branch.
So sit back, relax, and learn about Stephanie and how she helps to ensure that all Just·Tech employees are supported in their job responsibilities!
Hi, Stephanie! We’re excited to get to know you better, so thank you for chatting with us today. Let’s start by telling us a little bit about yourself – what brought you to Just·Tech?
In October of 2017 the Winchester Xerox Agent, which was Apple Valley Office Products, Inc. Agent owner decided to sell the current agency to Just·Tech as he was near retirement and thought that the Just·Tech Company would do well in Winchester and the Shenandoah Valley, which it has.
Great! What are your primary responsibilities working here?
Operations Specialist; all support the employees of Just·Tech, some of the duties I am responsible for are assistance with getting our monthly billings out for our customer’s usage of their machines. We email most of our billing to our customers, but there are some customers that want the billing sent through the mail and I actually do the printing of those invoices that we mail out on a monthly basis. I also log the subtotals of our monthly billings on our order log for each customer.
I would say that a large portion of what I do is the collection of funds for Just·Tech. I will reach out to our customer when their invoices are past due and see if they did or did not receive an invoice for the month, sometimes emails do get overlooked and when I reach out they suddenly remember that they did not see the monthly bill and we can settle the payments over the phone, sometimes I will have to call our customers’ payables department to get payment confirmation. I think I am the one people sometimes do not want to talk to, but seriously most of our customers are good people and I enjoy interacting with them and have gotten to know them on a personal basis. I also will help where I am needed as do all Just·Tech employees.
Fantastic! You definitely stay busy, that’s for sure! What do you like the most about working here?
I like working with all the Just·Tech employees, they are good people and it seems like a family and I have been so used to the people I work with being helpful and kind, and willing to help when you need help.
Love that. If a company is considering working with Just·Tech, what would you tell them?
All Just·Tech employees will go the extra mile to help you and to find a solution to any problem that needs to be handled. They are professional, knowledgeable, respectful and they know what they are doing in all aspects of the company. Everyone is going to go the extra mile for you and your business.
Perfect! Can you tell us a customer success story that you were a part of? How did you and Just·Tech as a company helps other companies or individuals?
I myself really do not get much involvement with the customers other than helping them with their billings or keep them from going to collections or such, but I can tell you that our Just·Tech Help desk helps our customers when they need toner, drums for their machines and they need them right away, and our IT analysts are always rescuing customers with networking issues, etc. and our technical analyst is always going beyond anything you can imagine to help our customers when machines are down and not functioning. To sum it up all Just·Tech employees are a team with many functioning parts that all fit together to make our customers’ companies run smoothly every day.
Thank you so much for your hard work! When you’re off the clock, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I spend a lot of time with my Black Lab, Onyx, who just turned 10 on February 14th this year. I am also a history freak. I absolutely love Williamsburg VA and I am known to stop at most history markers and read them when I can. I like to spend a lot of time with my family and I purchase any Santa Christmas ornament with a kind face. At Christmas, my house is so full of Santas that it could explode. I also love Italian food, but only if it is homemade, my grandfather actually came here from Italy in the 1920’s right through Ellis Island and my grandmother was also Italian and she was a fantastic cook, she taught us all to make her sauce or gravy as Italians say.
Ok, one more! If you were out of quarantine and the world settled down, where would you go and who would you take with you?
I would take my sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and niece and head for Myrtle Beach South Carolina.
