Getting to Know the People Behind Just·Tech
Here at Just·Tech, we think it’s important for our employees to know how much we value their time, talent, and who they are as people. We had the opportunity to talk with Lisa Steed, Operations Specialist in Huntington, West Virginia. It was wonderful to get to know Lisa better and we are excited for you to learn more about her, her career responsibilities, and her background, too!
Hi, Lisa! Thanks for chatting with us today. Can you start off by telling us a little about yourself?
I’m a lifelong West Virginia resident. I’ve been married for 31 years to my husband, Darrell, and have one son. I have 30 years of experience in this industry; I started out working for a small family-owned company that did copier sales in accounts receivable and worked my way up.
That’s wonderful! What brought you to Just·Tech?
I was working at Peake Office Solutions and the owner at the time decided she was going to sell to Just·Tech. Once Josh acquired us, he changed the company name from Southern Solutions to Just·Tech; we were the first company they merged with.
Very exciting! What are your main responsibilities working here?
Credit for the sales team so they can process orders and get them financed, track service credits for when service technicians do service calls for Xerox to make sure we get reimbursed, some accounts payable, order office supplies, billable inks and toners, anything that makes it easier for everybody.

Perfect! What do you enjoy the most about being a part of the Just·Tech family?
The people – we’re all family. We were a little family at our group before and as we got into the Just·Tech team, we all just blended together; we’re one blended family. Everyone is willing to help you out because we’re working towards the same goal.
We can definitely attest to that! When you’re not working, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Read, craft, cook, and play with my granddaughter.
What inspires you?
My granddaughter – she’s the one who has made me make changes in my life and slow down to be happy to be where I am right now.
Love it. What was the last thing you watched on TV?
Probably Masha and the Bear. I watch very little TV, but that is my granddaughter’s favorite cartoon and I always watch it with her.
How have you spent Quarantine?
I was lucky enough to be able to work from home during Quarantine. I’ve spent the time I have saved commuting by spending more quality time with my family and focusing more on self-care.
That is very important! What do you look forward to most once things start to go back to ‘normal?’
Seeing my work family and getting back to a routine, whatever the new normal is going to be.
