Getting to Know the People Behind Just·Tech

We are so thankful for our customers, employees, and all who have made Just·Tech into the family we are today.

To show our appreciation, we’re spotlighting one Just·Tech employee each month to get to know more about them not only as an employee, but as a person.

We’re starting 2021 off by talking to Matthew Clodfelter. Matthew is our Network Analyst out of Just·Tech’s La Plata office.

So sit back, relax, and learn about Matthew and how he helps to ensure that all Just·Tech employees are supported in their job responsibilities!

Hi, Matthew! We’re excited to get to know you better, so thank you for chatting with us today. Let’s start by telling us a little bit about yourself – what brought you to Just·Tech?

A friend of mine knew that I was interested in working at an MSP and referred me to Just·Tech. I went for the interview and everything just clicked.

That’s awesome! What are your primary responsibilities working here?

My primary responsibility is to make sure our clients are taken care of and to prevent issues from happening in the first place. If you have a problem and give us a call, we’ll make sure it gets resolved. When I’m not working on client issues, I help develop our back-end systems that keep things running smoothly, such as the systems we use to back up our clients’ computers or manage how/when updates get applied.

Wow, yes that is definitely a very important job! What do you like the most about working here?

Mostly it’s just good, honest work. I enjoy helping people, and technology happens to be something I’m talented with. Working at Just·Tech gives me a sense of accomplishment that the work I am doing is actually helping people.

Another large benefit for me professionally is the exposure to so many varied business environments. At this point in time there’s not many business technologies that I haven’t worked with in some capacity.

Absolutely! If a company is considering working with Just·Tech, what would you tell them?

I would tell them to contact us and let us know what their needs are. We don’t try to shoehorn our clients into a one-size-fits-all approach or sell them things they don’t need; we actually consider their business operations and recommend solutions that are a good fit for them. As we work with them and become more intimately familiar, we also keep an eye out for new technologies that may benefit them. We understand very well that the business relationship goes both ways and we want to see all of our clients thrive.

So true! Can you tell us a customer success story that you were a part of? How did you and Just·Tech as a company helps other companies or individuals?

One that happened recently involved a client that operates a museum with a public-facing kiosk. The kiosk software was written many years ago in Flash, which recently went end-of-life. We were able to devise a system that allowed them to continue using this software in a secure fashion, and in the process even introduced some automation that makes life easier for the museum staff.

Thank you so much for your hard work! When you’re off the clock, what do you like to do in your spare time?

I have a home gym and like to lift weights to stay in shape, and during the summer I enjoy camping; it is a great way to get away from technology for a while and “ground myself” so to speak. I’ve also taken to gardening the past few years, primarily pepper plants. And like many people that work with technology, I also play video games.

Love it! What are you most looking forward to now that the weather is finally starting to warm up?

Camping is definitely a big one. I love being outdoors but don’t handle cold weather well, so the only time I go camping is between spring and fall. The warm weather also means I can plant my pepper plants outside, which I’m really looking forward to; I’m a little behind this season, but I have probably over a hundred seedlings germinating right now.

That’s amazing! Thank you for sitting down with us today, Matthew! If a customer needs to reach you, what is the best way to contact you?

The best way to contact me directly is through email or phone:

I do like to remind people though that since the Network Analysts like myself visit client sites at times and may be away from our desk for a while, that if it’s urgent, they can contact the MNS team and an available Network Analyst will assist them immediately:

Email:          MNS@justtech.com

Phone:         (301) 632-5555 x5

Yes! Thank you for this! And thank you for all that you do, Matthew! It was a pleasure getting to know you better.
