Xerox maintains the #1 market share in the U.S. according to the Xerox analysis of IDC WW Quarterly Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker and IDC Industrial Print Tracker. The report includes Xerox, Canon, HP, Ricoh and Konica Minolta with Xerox in a commanding lead! All products include laser printers, multi-function printers (MFPs) and high-speed inkjet, which in total equates to equipment sale revenue or ESR.
Here are some additional highlights from IDC’s research:
- In the Americas, Xerox maintained the top spot in total ESR share with gains in the mid and high segments. Xerox also maintained its leadership position in total A3 and total production year-over-year.
- In the U.S., newer offerings helped Xerox capture the top spot in ESR, with solid results across the mid and high segments, gaining 4 points and 5 points of ESR share, respectively.
- In Canada, Xerox extends its leadership in total ESR share, total A3 and total production. Xerox gained 8 points of ESR share in A3 Color and 10 points of ESR share in production color.
- In Latin America, competitors took share primarily in the mid segment, while Xerox gained 1 point of share in the entry segment.
For U.S. and worldwide managed print and document services, Xerox remained number one. This share is calculated annually. Therefore, the full year 2019 is the most recent report available, which was released in July 2020
