In terms of network security, we take a multi-tiered approach to make sure all potential vulnerabilities are addressed. Our WAN Security Solution includes our advanced firewall hardware, firewall management, software subscriptions, automatic security patching, and VPN access. This is labeled as the “first line of defense” for our customer’s network because it truly is and stops many intruders before they enter your network. After installation and configuration, JustTech’s IT team manages these devices from a cloud management system. This is where we can monitor, set up, manage, check alerts, update firmware, and view reports. This is how we often know, before a customer knows, if the internet is down.
DNS Security Protection on each workstation is the “second line of defense” for our customers. Monitoring DNS requests, as well as subsequent IP connections, is an easy way to provide better accuracy and detection of malicious activity and compromised systems, improving security visibility and network protection. DNS is the first step in making a connection on the Internet, and if a connection is blocked at the DNS layer, then it stops there. This is why it is so important to have DNS Protection.
JustTech’s Workstation & Server Management is the 3rd layer of our multilayered proactive managed network approach. Through our Health Agent, which our network analysts install during implementation, we learn every angle of your network. Via our Health Agent we protect you against the latest security threats such as viruses, malware, & ransomware. In addition to the security & productivity our Health Agent provides it also allows our network analyst to remote into client’s workstations or servers to fix issues in an instant to correct problems sometimes even before the clients knows there is a problem.
90% of cyber attacks start with email according to a data breach investigations report by Verizon in 2019. JustTech recommends that all clients utilize our Email Security Solution. The back-end system we use for our Email Security service is Proofpoint. Proofpoint is an email protection system that blocks spam, phishing, and viruses from reaching your inbox. In addition, you can customize your settings to block and un-block specific emails.
When we begin a relationship with a new IT client, we perform and IT assessment to uncover potential bottlenecks and how we can improve performance. We recently did just that with Pro Re Nata Brewery in Crozet, Virginia. Pro Re Nata Brewery asked JustTech to come in and make recommendations on cleaning out their network closet and ensuring everything is connected as efficiently as possible, expand WiFi coverage and strengthen the WiFi signal so that their point of sale systems located throughout their establishment run more effectively. More recently from working with clients, we have found many clients do not need an onsite server and by moving email to Office 365 and the primary shared applications to a JustTech secure server in the cloud, the onsite server may be eliminated. This type of ongoing optimization recommendations as technology improves is something we take pride in and that our clients have been very pleased with.
